Statement
I draw and paint with ink, oil and acrylics on canvas and paper. My work begins with a personal admission that vulnerability is a part of life. I am fascinated by those overwhelming moments such as agitation, thrill and confusion. That often affects one’s perception and makes a stale scene turn into a dramatic incident.
My latest work is a series of black ink on canvas. I capture interesting elements from various figures I observe in everyday life and form them into continuous lines or isolated silhouettes. I carefully observe the relationship in between the coexist elements and develop the neutral connection or intensive disconnection. The objects in monochrome enhance its shapes and stand out sharply from negative spaces. It makes me aware of essential of beings.
During the creative process I untangle intricacies in my life and to reorganize disconcerted concepts. I record experiences and unveil emotional realities by drawing.
